Sophie studied in the honors program of elementary education here at Chattanooga State. Sophie chose elementary education on account of her love for teaching; she currently teaches varsity soccer. She originally hails from Australia, but moved to the United States in 2013 to pursue her education. Quick Facts: 4th semester Secondary Education major, 22 years old
Ashley is a Secondary Education major originally from Columbia, South Carolina. In her spare time, Ashley takes care of her niece and nephew and involves her self in Big Brothers Big Sisters. She chose secondary education after being inspired by her high school economics teacher and hopes to someday impact students in a similar way. Specifically, Ashley would like to work at a high school in the Chattanooga area or work as a social worker for young children. Her favorite course is philosophy and she plans on eventually transferring to UTC to pursue her BA. She will be the first in her family to graduate from college.

Demmy is motivated by the idea of having a better future for her family. She chose nursing after taking time off to take care of her dad and expresses her interests in helping others like him. Demmy moved to Chattanooga from Atlanta and her family is originally from Vietnam. She enjoys working out and her favorite course right now is psychology because can gain better insight on the motives behind certain behaviors. She is planning to transfer to UTC to pursue her BSN and will be the first in her family to graduate from college.
