ChattState Class of 1967 Reunion Video Released

Members of the very first graduating class of Chattanooga State gathered on campus this afternoon to celebrate the release of their college memories video captured on film during their 46th Reunion held in November 2013. When Class President Gary Ainscough ’67 was asked why they were celebrating their 46th, he said: “We’re getting a running start for our 50th!”

Several members of the Class of 1967 are also serving on the College’s 50th Anniversary Steering Committee. If you are a former student or graduate of Chattanooga State, we would love to loop you into the alumni festivities being planned for the 50th. Please connect with us here!

  1. I’ve been to many schools, “Chattanooga State Technical Institute” was the only school I ever cared about.
Reason being, we were all family, (students and teachers). I will always remember my fellow student friends, and faculty. I owe my satisfying 30 year professional career to CSTI ..

    1. Jim, We are so excited to hear this from you, and we sure hope you will be back on campus soon! Let us know if you’d like a tour. It would be our honor.

  2. Sorry I didn’t make the last reunion. Like my good friend Jimmy Rosenbloom Chattanooga State was the best school you could ask for. It helped me put bread on my table by giving me the computer skills to acquire a job at TVA for 35 years. All that even encouraged me later to get a 4 year degree at UTC paid for by TVA.

    1. Bruce, It makes our heart happy to hear this about your ChattState experience leading into long-term career success–just like it did for your friend Jimmy. Hope you’ll visit us on campus soon, and let us show you around!

  3. Chattanooga State, or as we knew it, CSTI, was a wonderful experience. Not only did it prepare me for a 38 year career in Information Technology, but it was a fun, caring and loving environment. I came away with life long friends. It was awesome to have been the “genie pigs” for the state of Tennessee in community college education. I am so glad that the Lord led me there and I am proud of what the school is today! Happy 50th!!

    1. Thank you Patty. We are so honored and happy to hear about your 38 year career in IT as well as the special friendships you have to this day. We have a lot to celebrate and give thanks for 50 years of serving our community and having wonderful alumni like you!
