prevents students from staying in school or completing their program of study. Based on Fall 2017 numbers, 67% of our students were Pell-eligible, meaning they are low income, and 82% of our students indicated they have to work at least part-time to help meet school and family obligations.

You can help keep a student from dropping out when you make your gift to the Chattanooga State Foundation’s Helping Hands Fund. Those who are interested in joining Chattanooga State Foundation’s initiative can visit and select Helping Hands Fund. One hundred percent of your donation goes to the Helping Hands Fund which assists students with housing, utilities, groceries, minor car repairs like a flat tire, transportation like a bus pass, daycare and other non-routine expenses.
