One of the hallmarks of our new Global Scholars honors program is the commitment to serve high achieving first-generation college students.
The projected size for the first year fall cohort of our new Global Scholars program was 25. Interestingly, when word got out about Global Scholars, our initial class grew, and today we are 60 students strong!
The average High School GPA for the initial freshman cohort is 3.67 with an average ACT of 26, placing our Global Scholars in the top

Also in the photo are members of the Global Scholars Advisory Board: Jim Roxlo, Rachel Hanson, Lillie Wills, Bruce Stewart and Alan Cates. The poem below was compiled by Juliette Biondi, Global Scholars Advisor, who asked the students to complete the phrase: “One day I will change the world by…”
One day I will change the world by improving the survival rate of cancer…One day I will change the world by promoting fairness and equality in the criminal justice
